Hector H. Mislavsky

Board Chair

Hector and his wife Judy Martinez have lived in Morris Township, NJ for 30 years where they raised their two children. Hector retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in June 2017 after 23 years there. He was a partner with a focus on the human resources issues clients phased surrounding mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Prior experience includes stints as partner at Arthur Andersen, LLP, principal at Mercer and Vice President at Aon. He is an Enrolled Actuary, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. Hector graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in business administration. His hobbies include running, music, theater and reading.

   

Ann W. Stachenfeld

First Board Vice Chair

Ann is founder and President of the Sweetie Pig Foundation, which spreads joy and happiness by giving people tools to improve their lives through education, human services and recreation.  She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Student/Partner Alliance in Summit and is a martial arts instructor at Madison Isshinryu Karate.  Her prior work experience includes marketing management at Merck, Inc., small business consulting and Japanese business.

Ann holds a BSBA and minor in Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City.

Morris County has been home to Ann and her husband Bruce since 1996 and they enjoyed raising their two daughters here.
 

David T. Welsh

Second Board Vice Chair

David is a Founder and Partner of Normandy Real Estate Partners. As one of the nation’s leading real estate private equity firms, Normandy owns and operates one of the largest diversified real estate portfolios in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region. Normandy and its principals have acquired or developed real estate assets totaling over 35 million square feet representing approximately $10 billion of value.  Prior to forming Normandy, David worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was primarily responsible for overseeing the debt financing activities for Morgan Stanley's domestic real estate investing business.

David has broad expertise in all facets of real estate, with particular expertise in capital markets, structured finance, distressed debt, acquisitions and development. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a member of its Real Estate Advisory Board, he earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance at the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he is a member of the Advisory Board and was an adjunct professor. He devotes his time to a number of professional and civic activities. Mr. Welsh was raised in Mendham, New Jersey and currently resides in Harding Township with his wife Lisa and two children Hannah and James.
 

   

Todd Schermerhorn

"Prior to retiring in 2012, Todd was Senior Vice President and CFO at C.R. Bard, Inc., a global leader in the field of medical devices.  He serves on the board of directors of The Travelers Companies, Inc., and as a trustee of the Sean Reilly TBI Fund.  In addition, he has served on the boards of Thoratec Corporation, The Spectranetics Corporation and as a trustee of Somerset Medical Center.  Todd and his wife Kate split their time between homes in Mendham and Saint Simons Island, GA." 
 

   

William Skrzat

Board secretary

William Skrzat is senior vice president of compensation, benefits and HRMS for Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, and is responsible for all global strategy and activities related to employee compensation, benefits and human resources management systems. Believing that health and wellness invokes both professional and personal productivity, achievement and fulfillment, Mr. Skrzat is responsible for the Company’s Be Well initiative. The Be Well initiative is not only a reflection of the Company’s core values, but its commitment to holistic programs focusing on nutrition, exercise, lifestyle management, physical and emotional wellness and financial health. In addition, Mr. Skrzat was instrumental in developing a comprehensive benefits package specifically designed to meet the needs of all associates throughout various life stages.

Joseph L Carfagna Jr.

Joe Carfagna Jr., his wife Jodi and their two children live in Mendham, having settled there in 1999 at the time Joe and Jodi married. Joe is the President of Leading Edge Aviation Solutions, LLC, a corporate aircraft brokerage, acquisition and consulting firm with headquarters in Parsippany. Both Joe and Jodi have been active within Cornerstone’s Friends of the Blind program for many years. Joe graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1991 and has been involved in the corporate aviation industry ever since. As a result of business pursuits, He has traveled to far reaches of the world, including Europe, South America, and Africa. Joe is an avid classic car collector and enthusiast, and is a member of numerous organizations devoted to the hobby. He is also an active coach in the Mendham Little League, coaching both his two children's baseball and softball teams.
 

  

Ruston M. Cembrinski

Russ has been in the investment management field for over 20 years, holding senior level marketing, sales and investor relations roles with notable investment firms delivering traditional and alternative investment solutions and services to the pension, endowment and foundation, consulting and family office marketplace.  More recently, Russ has been providing marketing, sales and investor relations support and consulting services to the traditional and alternative investment management firms. 
 
Russ and his wife Deborah Heffter moved to Chester, NJ in 1991 and have four children.  He is a native of upstate New York and graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Analytical Food Science and later obtained his MBA in Finance and Corporate Accounting at the William E. Simon School at the University of Rochester.
 
Russ is very active with the youth in his community through coaching and board involvement with West Morris Soccer Club, Chester Mendham Youth Lacrosse and the Chester Area Pool Swim Team.  He has served as President and Board member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey and is the current Chairman of the Chester Township Parks Committee.  Russ also served on the Morristown Neighborhood House Board as a Finance Committee Member.
 

  

Joseph J. DiPasquale

Joe has over 20 years experience in law and is a partner with the firm of Trenk DiPasquale and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate restructuring, complex bankruptcy and debtor/creditor rights.  He represents clients from a broad range of industries.  He was selected by The Best Lawyers in America 2016 edition as one of the “Best Lawyers” in the practice areas of bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law.  Also in 2016, Joe was named to the New Jersey Top 100 list by Super Lawyers.  Joe enjoys playing golf and attending his daughters’ soccer games with his wife, Kristen.

Steven R. Goodyear

Cheryl joins Cornerstone Family Programs Board with over 25 years of experience in advertising, consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing, and consulting for start-ups, small businesses, non-profit organizations and political campaigns. Cheryl obtained marketing management experience with Fortune 500 entities including Gannett, Sara Lee-Hanes, Bausch and Lomb and Dow Brands.  She is a published writer of web content, fundraising solicitations, and marketing materials, as well as an accomplished presenter and public speaker.  She has a great deal of volunteer program planning, and fundraising experience through past affiliations with the Denville Public Schools, Interfaith Food Pantry, The Arthritis Foundation, and as a longtime member of civic groups in Morris County.  She has dedicated the past 20 years committed to service, occupying leadership positions in various organizations.  She and her husband Todd reside in Denville, NJ and are the proud parents of two teenaged daughters, Kendall and Perri.


Steve Goodyear is Vice President of U.S. Retail Sales for Nestlé Nutrition. Steve has more than 27 years of Sales and Sales Management experience within the Infant Nutrition and OTC Medicines business. Steve is widely recognized for his ability to develop, motivate and lead successful teams.  He is a strong leader with a proven track record of collaboration, influence and success. He joined Nestlé Nutrition in 2007, after Nestlé acquired the Gerber Products Company and is based in Florham Park, NJ.

Steve is originally from Boston, Massachusetts.  He holds degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.  He has been in NJ for 13 years and resides in Flanders, New Jersey, with his wife Colleen and son Stephen.

He is active in the community with both his son’s school, Mt Olive Track & Cross Country Programs and several charitable organizations.  He is the President of the Board of Trustees for Autism NJ, and a member of the Board of Directors for the M. Olive Junior Athletic Club in addition to being a member of the Board at Cornerstone Family Programs. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as golf, road biking & traveling.

    

Michael A. Kelly







Karen M. Kirby

Mike is a senior client service partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.  Since joining the firm almost 35 years ago, he has served in a variety of roles including, more recently, as the lead engagement partner for several of PwC’s largest clients in the financial services sector.  Leveraging extensive relationships across PwC’s global network, Mike delivers insights to chief executives about market and industry developments, technical topics and best practices surrounding financial reporting, treasury activities, and risk management.  Mike and his wife, Lisa, have three adult children and split their time between Morris Township and Naples, Florida.


Karen is co-owner of SnoLuxe, a manufacturer of performance neckwear, and is very active in the community through Harding Land Trust, St. Peter’s Church, The Washington Association and Morris County Golf Club. Karen has four children and she enjoys gardening, hiking, skiing, tennis and resides in New Vernon with her husband, Jeff.

 

Gerald P. Marcus

Jerry is currently a Sales Associate with Turpin Realtors in Mendham, New Jersey.  He is also a principal of SigMar Capital Management LLC, an investment firm managing family assets. From April 2004 to December 2008, he was a Managing Director and principal at Hilltop Capital Partners LP, a hedge fund located in Chester, NJ.  Prior to joining Hilltop Capital, Jerry was a Director in the Investment area of MetLife, Inc. During his tenure at MetLife, he worked in a number of different areas including private placements, private equity/mezzanine and public fixed income.  Jerry is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and has an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.  He is also an active community volunteer and serves as Chair of the Board at Morristown Neighborhood House, a member of the Mendham Township Facilities Committee and a Morris County Parks Department Adopt-A-Trail volunteer.  Jerry was named a New Jersey Hero in 2010 for his volunteer efforts on behalf of the Neighborhood House and honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Neighborhood House in November 2014.
 

  

Kerry Mowry

Kerry Mowry lives in Morristown with her husband, Chris and their family. Kerry is the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Overlook Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System. Previously, Kerry was the Foundation Officer for Corporate and Foundation Relations at The Foundation for Morristown Medical Center, which is also a member of Atlantic Health System.  She was also the past General Manager for Academic Programs for North America for GE Healthcare’s Diagnostic Imaging Business and was a member of GE’s prestigious Sigma Society.    

Kerry graduated from The Carroll School of Business at Boston College.  She also received graduate certificates from Farleigh Dickinson University’s Institute for Sustainable Enterprise and The Executive Philanthropy and Resource Development Program.   In addition, Kerry completed the Dodge Foundation board development series for board leaders. 
 

Kathleen C. Mullen

Kathleen started her 30+ year career with General Electric in 1985 on the Technical Leadership Program and had assignments with GE Industrial and Power Systems in Florham Park, New Jersey and Schenectady, NY. From 2011 to present, she has held positions with increasing responsibility within the Automation & Controls business in converging GE’s industrial business to a highly digital and optimized ‘Industrial Internet’ business. Kathleen has been a Girl Scout Leader, active member of the GE Women’s Network, GE volunteer organization, active member of the Assumption Parish, and participates/volunteers within the Morris School district where her children go to school. Kathleen is married to Tom and they have two children, Fiona and Patrick. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling globally, running (completed several marathons), biking, swimming (completed sprint triathlons), volunteering within GE and in the community.
 

Lydia Muller

Lydia is a former elementary school teacher at the Trinity School in Manhattan and the Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ.  She recently founded the NJ Chapter of Room to Read and currently serves as a trustee on the Street Squash Newark Board.  Lydia and her husband, Eric, live in Morristown and have two children.
 

Andrew J. O'Connor

Andy is the second generation owner and President of A.J. O’Connor Associates (AJO), an HR consulting firm that was founded in New Jersey in 1983. During his twenty-five year tenure, Andy has expanded service capabilities, extended the organization’s geographic reach through national and international service delivery, and grown the AJO team to over 100 coaches and consultants who deliver distinctive, leading-edge team and leadership development, executive coaching and career transition services today. Andy is the inspiration behind the team that executeswith excellence, encourages new and innovative ideas, and delivers smart, practical, tailored experiences and programs.
 
Prior to joining AJO, Andy served with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, held positions within Continental Insurance Company and Paine Weber, and performed leadership roles in government as an elected councilman and public safety director.

Andy holds a BS and MA from New York City's John Jay College, and is a graduate of Morris County's Leadership Morris Program.

Andy is a member of Faireigh Dickinson University's Center for Human Resource Studies, Society for Human Resource Management. He currently serves as a Board Member at Cornerstone Family Programs, and has previously served as a Board Member for the New Jersey Human Resource Planning Group, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, a member of the Executive Committee for the March of Dimes, and is past President of the Florham Park Jaycees.

Andy is an avid cyclist (14 year Police Unity Tour rider/marshal), accomplished skier, and proud grandfather (G-Pa) to four grandchildren - Taylor, Andrew, Carleigh, and Connor.
 

Virginia R. Ranger

Virginia rejoins the Board of Cornerstone Family Programs after serving 13 years. She chaired several Board committees as well as being the agency’s first-ever chair for the capital campaign to build the agency’s new building in Morristown with her husband, Mike. Since leaving the Board officially, Virginia remained an ex-officio member as well as volunteered extensively at the Morristown-Beard School and Morristown Medical Center. She enjoys volunteering in the community, particularly with children’s programs, playing tennis, reading and spending time with her family in the Thousand Islands. Virginia has two adult children and she resides in New Vernon with her husband.
 

 

Michael Salerno

Michael is president of Salerno Duane Auto Group, a new car dealership group headquartered in Morris County and serving the community since 1971. Prior to attending Villanova and Northwood Universities, Michael graduated from Mendham High School and still resides in Mendham with his wife Kathleen. Michael serves on the board of Heritage Community Bank and Universal Underwriters Finance Committee. He has volunteered with many local organizations including youth football and lacrosse and was active with various programs at Mendham High School from where Michael and Kathleen’s two children also graduated.

Maryanne Spatola

Maryanne joined Solix in 2015 as the SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer. She is the strategic partner to the CEO and executive team responsible for defining, developing, and implementing strategic human resources strategies and innovative solutions that align with the organization’s vision, mission and strategic goals. Prior to joining Solix, Maryanne held senior HR positions with Selective Insurance Company of America, Crum & Forster and Chubb Corporation. Maryanne loves to read and spend time with her family and friends. She is actively involved with HR professional communities, associations and loves to connect with other professionals. She is an adjunct professor at NYU teaching Human Capital and Leadership courses. Maryanne has three adult children and resides in Cedar Knolls with her husband, Mark.
 

Joseph P. Visaggio

Joseph Visaggio is Executive Director of Novartis Patient Assistance & Philanthropy at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and serves as Vice President of the Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation Inc.  

Joe oversees the operations and strategic direction of Novartis Patient Assistance Programs for the uninsured and Novartis’ philanthropic contributions strategy to support workplace giving and employee volunteer programs.  He is responsible for Patient Assistance Now, a resource to help patient’s access programs for their Novartis medication and access information to help manage their disease and conditions. Joe also leads Novartis’ efforts in supporting Independent Charitable Copay Assistance programs for the underinsured in non-oncology therapies.

Prior to joining Novartis in 2002, Mr. Visaggio held various roles in Sales, Marketing, and Operations at General Electric Company and American Home Products. He has served as a member of the Cornerstone Family Programs Young Professionals Advisory Committee and has served on various Operational Committees across the pharmaceutical industry.  Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Montclair State University.
